Beef Stir Fry
SERVES: 4
PREP TIME: 5 minutes
TOTAL TIME: 25 minutes
COURSE: Main

We really like a good stir fry because the nature of the cooking method is fast, it’s an all-in-one dish and it’s usually full of explosive Asian flavors. This recipe hits all the marks with a nice balance of heat from the chili and sweetness from the hoisin. Citarella Stir Fry Vegetables make this a snap to prep so it’s perfect for weekday meals.
Ingredients
- 2 Tbsp chili garlic sauce
- ¼ c hoisin garlic teriyaki sauce
- 2 Tbsp Citarella olive oil
- 1 lb beef stir fry strips
- 1 lb Citarella Stir Fry Vegetables
- 3 scallions, sliced thinly, saving some for garnish
- Sesame seeds, to garnish
- Citarella sides, for serving
Instructions
- Season the beef with salt and pepper.
- In a small bowl, whisk together the chili garlic sauce, hoisin garlic teriyaki sauce, and 2 teaspoons of water, and set aside.
- In large skillet over medium-high heat, add oil. Once shimmering, add beef and stir to coat with oil. Cook beef for 3-5 minutes until just cooked.
- Remove beef from the pan and set aside. Add vegetables and some of the sliced scallions to the pan and sauté until crisp tender, 3-4 minutes. Add beef back to pan and pour in sauce, toss to coat and cook for 2-3 minutes until sauce begins to thicken. Check seasoning and adjust with salt and pepper as necessary.
- Place stir fry on platter and garnish with remaining scallions and sesame seeds.
- Serve with your favorite Citarella sides and enjoy!
