Caramelized Onion and Blue Cheese Crostini

Balsamic glaze adds a depth to the sweetness of the caramelized onions here, which pair with the blue cheese perfectly. Our cranberry conserve adds a final touch of sweet that brings this appetizer to the next level of delicious!
Ingredients
- 2 Tbsp Citarella olive oil
- 1 large white onion, sliced thinly
- 2 Tbsp balsamic glaze
- 1 bag Citarella crostini
- ½ lb. Bayley Hazen blue cheese, cut into bite sized pieces
- 1/2 cup Citarella cranberry conserve
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- Flaky salt, for garnish
Instructions
- In a non-stick skillet over low heat, add olive oil and onions. Cook onions for 15-20 minutes until translucent and caramelized, seasoning with salt and pepper at the end. Mix in balsamic glaze and set aside to cool.
- Assemble crostini and place a spoonful of caramelized onions on each, top with blue cheese and a spoonful of cranberry conserve.
- Garnish with some flaky salt and enjoy!
