Dessert Pizza with Ricotta and Preserves

SERVES:    4

PREP TIME:   10 minutes

TOTAL TIME:   15 minutes

COURSE:  Dessert

A crusty pizza dough base with creamy, honey-touched ricotta cheese and swirls of stawberry preserves. Now that’s a dessert dream come true!

  Ingredients

  • 1 ball Citarella pizza dough
  • 1 Tbsp olive oil
  • 2 cups Ricotta
  • 2 Tbsp heavy cream
  • 1 Tbsp honey
  • 1 cup fresh strawberries, thinly sliced
  • 1 tsp lemon juice
  • 1 Tbsp lemon zest
  • ½ cup Citarella Strawberry Preserves
  • Flaky salt, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Defrost and proof pizza dough for 30 minutes at room temperature.
  2. Preheat oven to 400°F or grill/grill pan over medium-high heat.
  3. Roll out pizza dough into a large round. Brush with 1 tablespoon olive oil and bake for 10-12 minutes until golden brown and cooked through. If using grill/grill pan, grill for 3-4 minutes per side until golden brown.
  4. Meanwhile, mix ricotta with heavy cream and honey, and whisk vigorously. In a separate bowl mix preserves and lemon juice.
  5. Spread seasoned ricotta on pizza dough. Swirl jam mixture on top and finish with fresh strawberries.
  6. Garnish with lemon zest and flaky salt and enjoy!
