Marbled Gruyere Potatoes

SERVES:    4

Swirls of puréed white and sweet potatoes create a marbling effect that delivers a contrast of flavors. Add nutty gruyere to the mix and you have a side dish sensation that complements a wide variety of main courses.


  Ingredients

  • 3 cups Citarella Potato Purée
  • 3 cups Citarella Sweet Potato Purée
  • 1 cup grated gruyere cheese, divided
  • Salt and pepper, to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit.
  2. In an ovenproof dish spoon in dollops of mashed potatoes and sweet potatoes.
  3. Sprinkle half cup of grated gruyere and salt and pepper to taste. Using a spoon or chopstick, swirl the potatoes to incorporate the gruyere and create a marbled effect with the different colored potato purees.
  4. Sprinkle remaining gruyere on top and bake for 15-20 minutes until golden and warmed through.
  5. Allow to cool for 5 minutes, then serve alongside your favorite Citarella items.
