Gruyere and Pear Pizza

SERVES:    4

Cheese and fruit are a classic pairing. That translates into a delectable pizza when nutty Gruyere meets sweet pears with a touch of crème fraiche to make it extra rich.


  Ingredients

  • 1 brown pear, sliced thinly
  • 1 ball Citarella pizza dough
  • ½ cup crème fraiche
  • 1 cup shredded Gruyere cheese
  • 1 Tbsp fresh thyme, minced
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Citarella Olive Oil, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven with pizza stone to 450°F. Allow dough to come to room temperature.
  2. Stretch your pizza dough to a large round, making sure not to tear. Spread crème fraiche on dough, leaving some space for your crust. Top with pears and shredded gruyere; season with salt and pepper.
  3. Bake pizza for 8-12 minutes, rotating halfway through, until golden-brown and bubbly.
  4. Rest for 2-3 minutes before cutting. Finish with a drizzle of olive oil, fresh thyme, and enjoy!
