Sourced from North America’s “freshwater oceans,” whitefish from the Great Lakes is delicate, silky, and mild. An indulgence of the woodsy upper Midwest, this wild caught fish is also a staple of holiday traditions in gefilte fish. Somewhat soft and moderately fatty, it’s also delicious baked with fresh cut herbs or whipped into savory smoked fish pates.
Whitefish fillet tastes great roasted with a few tablespoons of butter and freshly chopped herbs.
Portion Size
Our Whole Wild Whitefish is approximately 2-3 pounds each. We recommend 1 lb. of raw fish per person when serving whole fish. The size of this order is 1 fish (approx. 2-3 lbs per fish), which serves 2-3 people.
