Enjoy Fresh, Never Frozen Seafood – Shipped Overnight! LEARN MORE
From the pristine Atlantic waters off the coast of Nova Scotia, Prince Edward Island mussels are known for their jet-black shells and sweet flavor. Simply steam in olive oil, garlic, and dry white wine or cook in a zesty marinara sauce. It’s quick and easy. A few friends, a steaming plate of PEI mussels, some crusty Italian bread, and a bottle (or two) of wine. There are few better ways to spend an evening.
We love to steam PEI Mussels in white wine over a high heat for 5 to 10 minutes until the shells open and then dip the meat into warm garlic butter.
Portion Size
When cooking Prince Edward Island Mussels we recommend 6-12 pieces for an appetizer or 12-18 pieces as a main course when serving cooked mussels. The size of this order is 4 lbs (approx. 35-40 mussels per lb), which serves 8-26 people.
"Mussels served with a chilled glass of rose is a lovely summer treat."
