Enjoy Fresh, Never Frozen Seafood – Shipped Overnight! LEARN MORE
Anchovies are misunderstood, forever cast in a supporting role (in steakhouse Caesar salads). That’s why it’s always a delight to make wild caught, fresh anchovies the centerpiece of a meal. Sourced from Portugal, these bite-sized, briny fish promise robust flavors that hold up with bold spice (think: harissa) and bitter greens (think: dandelion). Or, rewrite history with a classic Caesar topped with charred anchovies, fresh from the grill. That’s an upgrade.
Roll them in flour and lightly fry in a pan, or brush them with our fresh Extra Virgin Olive Oil and sea salt, then broil these European Anchovies for 2 minutes on each side.
Portion Size
Our Wild European Anchovies come 16-18 to a pound. We recommend 1 lb. of raw fish per person when serving whole fish. The size of this order is 2 lbs (approx. 16-18 fish per lb), which serves approx. 2 people.
"Anchovies are transcendent when paired with a saly, nutty Sherry like Fino."
