Joe’s Blend Aged Ground Beef Spaghetti Bolognese

Joe’s Blend Aged Ground Beef combines Teres Major, bold Sirloin, flavorful Short Ribs, and subtly sweet Brisket to create delicious harmony. Incorporating it into this classic recipe raises Bolognese sauce to epic, culinary proportions!
Ingredients
- 1 lb. Citarella Spaghetti
- 4 Tbsp olive oil
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 cup finely diced carrots
- 1/2 cup finely diced celery
- 1/2 cup finely diced white onion
- 1/2 cup finely diced pancetta
- 1 lb. Joe’s Blend Aged Ground Beef
- 2 fresh bay leaves
- 2 tsp fresh thyme leaves
- 12 oz can of cherry tomatoes
- 1/2 cup red wine
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- Basil, for garnish
- Parmigiano Reggiano, for serving
Instructions
- In a sauce pot over medium-high heat add 2 tablespoons of olive oil. Once shimmering add in carrots, celery, white onion, pancetta, and ground meat. Stir everything and cook for 5 minutes.
- Add in bay leaves, fresh thyme, and a can of cherry tomatoes. Using the back of a spoon burst cherry tomatoes and stir everything to combine. Reduce heat to medium-low and cook for 15-20 minutes, stirring frequently.
- Meanwhile bring a large pot of water to boil and season with salt. Cook pasta according to package instructions.
- While pasta is cooking, add red wine to sauce and continue simmering for an additional 10 minutes. Check for seasoning and adjust as necessary.
- Once pasta is done, drain and place on serving platter and drizzle with remaining olive oil. Ladle Bolognese on top of pasta and garnish with fresh basil and Parmigiano Reggiano cheese and enjoy!
