Oysters with Mignonette

The zest and slight kick in this perfectly balanced mignonette sauce is the ideal complement to the clean, briny, and tantalizing sweet flavor of our fresh oysters.
Ingredients
- 2 doz. Citarella oysters
- 1 shallot
- 1/2 cup Citarella red wine vinegar
- 2 Tbsp lemon juice
- 1/8 tsp hot sauce
- 1 Tbsp minced chives
- 1 lemon cut into small wedges, for serving
- Salt and pepper, to taste
Instructions
- Shuck your oysters or ask us to shuck them for you at the seafood counter!
- Finely mince shallot and add to a bowl with red wine vinegar, lemon juice, hot sauce, and chives. Stir to combine and season with salt and pepper.
- Place oysters on the half shell onto a serving platter with ice. Spoon mignonette onto oysters.
- Serve with extra lemon wedges and enjoy with your favorite Citarella appetizers.
