Smoked Salmon and Herbed Goat Cheese

SERVES:    6-8

PREP TIME:   5 minutes

TOTAL TIME:   10 minutes

COURSE:  Appetizer

Crisp endive leaves serve as “boats” to house perfect bites of silky, smoked salmon paired with a creamy herbed goat cheese spread. A unique appetizer that checks all the boxes for delicious!


  Ingredients

  • 1 log herbed goat cheese
  • 2 Tbsp milk
  • 1 red endive, leaves separated
  • 1 yellow endive, leaves separated
  • 8 oz smoked salmon, sliced thinly
  • Fresh minced chives, for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a small bowl mix goat cheese with a fork incorporating the milk a little at a time until the mixture is smooth and creamy. Place into a Ziplock or piping bag and set aside.
  2. Arrange endive leaves on your serving platter and fill with bite sized pieces of smoked salmon. Cut a small corner off your Ziplock or piping bag and pipe a few small dollops of the goat cheese mixture onto each endive “boat.”
  3. Garnish with fresh minced chives and enjoy!
