This hearty stew features the sweet, fresh flavors of our seafood in a lively red sauce with a kick of red pepper flakes and freshly squeezed lemon juice to brighten your dining experience.
Ingredients
- 2 Tbsp olive oil
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- ¼ cup white whine
- 1 pint Citarella Pomodoro Pelati Sauce
- 2 tsp red pepper flakes
- 10 sea scallops , side muscle removed
- 1 lb. shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 1 bag of mussels
- Fresh lemon juice, to taste
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- Fresh minced parsley, for garnish
- Crusty bread, for serving
Instructions
- Clean all seafood.
- In a large skillet over medium heat add olive oil. Once shimmering, add garlic and cook for 2-3 minutes until just golden brown. Add in white wine and simmer for 1-2 minutes.
- Add in tomato sauce and red pepper flakes, simmer for 1-2 minutes then add in all your seafood. Cover and cook for 6-8 minutes until seafood is just cooked through.
- Using a slotted spoon, transfer all seafood to your serving platter. Check season of sauce and adjust as needed with lemon juice, salt, and pepper.
- Pour sauce over seafood and garnish with fresh parsley.
- Serve with some crusty bread and your favorite Citarella sides and enjoy!
