Enjoy Fresh, Never Frozen Seafood – Shipped Overnight! LEARN MORE
It’s often said pompano is the most selected fish of the most selective palettes. And at Citarella, it’s our philosophy that you can never be too discerning. That’s why this silvery beauty is sourced from Florida and Georgia waters. It’s a wild-caught fish that promises a rich, robust flavor with a touch of sweetness. Its flaky, meaty and free of small bones. Try pompano prepared Florida Keys style: Grilled whole. With an appetizer of rum.
Brush on one of our imported olive oils with Herbs du Provence and grill whole, wild Pompano for 5 minutes on each side.
Portion Size
Our whole Wild Pompano are approximately 2 pounds each. We recommend 1 lb. of raw fish per person when serving whole fish. The size of this order is 1 fish (approx. 1-2 lbs per fish), which serves 1-2 people.
"Try a glass of ros? from Provence, perhaps a lovely Cassis or the famous Bandol."
