Cheese Ravioli with Sautéed Garlic and Basil

A beautiful Italian meal can’t get any simpler than this. Citarella delicious, handcrafted ravioli and traditional Grandma’s Filetto di Pomodoro sauce are already made for you. Just a quick sauté of garlic and a gentle toss and dinner is served. Buon appetito!
Ingredients
- 4 cloves garlic, sliced very thinly
- 4 Tbsp olive oil
- 1 lb. Citarella Cheese Ravioli
- 1 pint Citarella Filetto di Pomodoro
- ½ cup fresh basil leaves, roughly chopped
- ¼ cup grated Parmigiano, to serve
- Salt and pepper, to taste
Instructions
- In a skillet over medium-high heat add oil and fry garlic until golden brown; watch carefully so that it does not burn. Drain on paper towel, saving garlic-flavored oil.
- Meanwhile, bring a large pot of salted water to boil. Cook ravioli according to package instructions until they are al dente.
- Heat Filetto di Pomodoro until simmering and toss cooked ravioli in sauce. Place on serving platter and garnish with fresh basil and garlic chips.
- Drizzle with remaining garlic oil, serve with grated parm, and enjoy!
